Very painterly. The eye is forced to continuously scan the entire piece. Great colors too! I llllike it!

Glad you like it. I don't know where I get my inspiration from, just a need to do things I suppose and I try to convey my thoughts :)
The tree represents the dead past and was a picture of a piece of ocean coral; it looks pretty gnarly to me so I used that and desaturated and put an emboss filter on it.
